Announcements:
We will be –dining with Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:30pm, Golden Hill United Methodist Church, 20 Elm Street, Bridgeport, CT. Hear the Bishop unveil: 2018 & Beyond, Mission, Vision, Values, Goals, and a Strategic Plan.
Reach For The Stars – join in helping families in need. These families could use our help for the holiday season. Just pick a gift tag(s) at the ushers table and attach it to the gift you choose to purchase. Then return the tagged gift to the church by December 17, 2017 so they can be delivered in time for the holiday.
Because of Bethlehem –TODAY - 4 weeks each year, the Christmas season compels people to ask the Christmas questions. What’s the big deal about the baby in the manger? Who was he? What does his birth have to do with me? Of all the responses to these questions, there is one that stands out from the rest: Because of Bethlehem, God knows what it is like to be a human. When we talk to God about our challenges, our struggles, and our tough times, he understands, because he’s been there. He’s been here. Join us Sundays following worship or Thursday evenings, 7pm at the parsonage.
Trustees Committee - will meet on Wednesday, December 6th at 7pm at the Parsonage. Please contact Bill Collins for more information.
UMC Market - when making purchases, REMEMBER to use UMC Market. The church will then receive a percentage of the purchase price. Many stores that you already shop at are on the website. Go to UMCmarket@umcmarket.org to sign up today. Please contact Warren Western for more information.
