Thank You – to all who participated in the St. Vincent DePaul dinner…it was a success and you helped over 100 people come out of the cold for hot soup and cookies. That soup was delicious! Yum! I would also like to thank our neighbors Mondo’s Pizza for supplying 10 pizzas, let them know how much you appreciate them when you visit! Jill and Marsha you did an excellent job coordinating this special event.

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” – or, is it? For those who find the Christmas season difficult for many reasons, the United Churches of Durham, First UMC of Middletown, and Middlefield federated Church will join together in hosting a Blue Christmas Service on December 16 at 4pm. The name refers to the loneliness, sadness and grieving that people might experience during the holiday season – whether from negative memories, difficult losses, or from complicated personal relationships. Please invite a friend in need of gentle care. The service will be held at the United Churches of Durham, 228 Main Street, Durham, CT.
Holiday Cheer?– The FUMC is looking for ways to support children and families for the holidays. If you have any ideas please see Pastor Barbara.
Coffee Hour - will be hosted by group Matthew on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Please see Nancy Burton for details.
