Announcements:
You are INVITED – to dine with Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:30pm, Golden Hill United Methodist Church, 20 Elm Street, Bridgeport, CT.  Hear the Bishop unveil: 2018 & Beyond, Mission, Vision, Values, Goals, and a Strategic Plan.  Sign up at the Usher Table to reserve a spot TODAY.

Student Day Sunday – TODAY – Gifts to United Methodist Student Day Sunday help deserving United Methodist students continue their education and faith journeys as they strive to make a difference in the world and discern what God has called them to do.

Because of Bethlehem – Begins TODAY - 4 weeks each year, the Christmas season compels people to ask the Christmas questions.  What’s the big deal about the baby in the manger?  Who was he?  What does his birth have to do with me?  Of all the responses to these questions, there is one that stands out from the rest:  Because of Bethlehem, God knows what it is like to be a human.  When we talk to God about our challenges, our struggles, and our tough times, he understands, because he’s been there.  He’s been here.  Join us Sundays (following worship or Thursday evenings)

SPPR Committee - will meet on Monday, November 27th at 7pm at the Parsonage.  Please contact Sharon Riley for more information.

Trustees Committee - will meet on Wednesday, December 6th at 7pm at the Parsonage.  Please contact Bill Collins for more information.

UMC Market - when making purchases, REMEMBER to use UMC Market.  The church will then receive a percentage of the purchase price.  Many stores that you already shop at are on the website.  Go to UMCmarket@umcmarket.org to sign up today.  Please contact Warren Western for more information.

With Thanks from Warren - I wish to express my deep appreciation for the reception and send off that the congregation gave me and the special gift of the study Bible with your notes.  The Bible has a wealth of other information in it beyond the scripture text and I will enjoy it and treasure it very much.  You all are very much in my thoughts and prayers.  My prayer is that you will grow in ministry and as a congregation during the coming years.  Thank you again for everything and may God’s blessings be upon you.  Warren

Volunteers needed for COFFEE HOUR.
Please check the sign-up sheet for a date that would work for you….
