First United Methodist Church of Middletown, CT is looking to hire a part-time Office Administrator to work approximately 9 hours per week. Hours can be flexible- morning, afternoon or evening. Location of work place is at the parsonage, which is used for office duties and meetings only. Duties includes: Working with the Pastor on church duties, technology knowledge (newsletters, Facebook), and secretarial duties. Joseph Andreana has held senior management positions with the United Methodist Frontier Foundation (UMFF),the CT Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC-LNV), the Oxford Economic Development Corporation, GTE, AT&T and the Southern New England Telephone Company. Since 2011 he has served as a member of the Board of Directors and Field Service Coordinator for the United Methodist Frontier Foundation. Brunch with Warren - Please join us for brunch following worship, TODAY, to celebrate Warren Westerns years of ministry with us. A free will offering will be taken at the brunch. Warren has now retired and will be moving back home to Iowa. We will miss you! Council Meeting - next Sunday, October 29th , following worship, at the Elks. This meeting will be to approve the budget for 2018. Charge Conference - will be November 9th from 7 – 8:30pm. All committee leaders are asked to email their reports in the office by October 30th , in order to be included in the Charge Conference book. Half Truths – God Helps Those Who Help Themselves And Other Things The Bible Doesn’t Say, study started October 15th, following worship at the parsonage, and will continue for five weeks. Adam Hamilton’s study will explore these common Christian sayings with the wisdom found in Scripture.
