United Methodist Women
Middlesex Cancer Center held their “Men’s Wellness Day” on Saturday, April 14th in our church.
Our UMW was asked to provide coffee and pastries to the men who were waiting for their appointments on that morning. We were also asked to help serve their lunch and help clean the kitchen afterward.
The men were very polite and seemed happy to have a place (our fellowship hall) to relax and talk to each other.
The Middlesex Cancer Center is performing an important service to our community and we are pleased to be a part of their program.
GOOD news about our Church World Service Depot! We had a total of 6,383 lbs this year. There were 4,257 kits (school, health, and sewing), 16 clean-up buckets, 86 quilts and 437 rolled bandages. The depot was open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to noon for two weeks in April.
A special THANK YOU to all who volunteered to help with the weighing of each box and all the paperwork that had to be done. Our depot is well known for your smiling faces and warm greetings to everyone who delivers the boxes from all the churches in the area. JOB WELL DONE!
Our May UMW potluck will be on Thursday, May 16th at 6 p.m. Please come and join us!
We welcome Elizabeth and Mike Perry, along with their son Will and John Parent as our newest members in the community of faith.
We look forward to growing in faith and discipleship with you.
This is an extremely active group of women in need of more mission-minded women like themselves to manifest the love of Christ in this world, and we owe them our thanks. "Join us!"
YOU are invited and will be welcomed! All United Methodist Women activities are open
to everyone who wants to participate.
