The United Methodist Men - meet at the parsonage for a men’s breakfast Saturday, July 2nd, and the first Saturday of each month. Bring a friend! See David Marks or Warren Western for more information.

Vacation - Pastor Barbara Marks will be on vacation and will return on July 5, 2016.  If anyone is in need of the Pastor while she is on vacation, please contact John Blossom as he will be covering for Pastor Barbara Marks.  John can be reached at (203) 293-8511.
 
Updating our Prayer List – We want to be sure that our prayers are heard and supported, and that we can do this effectively.  Please help us by contacting the Church office to indicate which of your prayer requests of yours on our current list should be active, and how long they should be active.  By default, we will keep new prayers on the list for six weeks, but feel free to indicate another time frame.  If you would like to have a member to pray with you personally, please contact Dianne Clark at (860) 346-7345.
 
Amazing Grace Donations - can now be brought to church any Sunday. In addition to tuna and cereal, they are looking for donations of oatmeal, coffee and soup.  The Missions committee will collect these items every Sunday and deliver to Amazing Grace.  Please contact Marsha Judson with any questions at (860) 346-0005.

Moving Towards Our Future: June 12th Church Council Meeting

First UMC Middletown's Board of Directors have been moving along on our Church Council commitment to proceed on bidding on land for the construction of a new church building. To learn more about what has been prepared for the next steps in this process, and what the process will look like from here forward, we urge you to attend our Church Council meeting this Sunday, 12 June, immediately following worship and fellowship. You will be invited to ask questions at the meeting, but if you have specific concerns that will require the meeting's attention, please do not hesitate to contact Pastor Barbara Marks or Church Council Chairperson John Parent ahead of time. We look forward to providing you with more information at the meeting!

Church Council – IMPORTANT meeting will be held next Sunday, June 12, 2016 following Sunday worship services.  The meeting is on the proposed land purchase.  ALL church members are highly encouraged to attend.  Please contact John Parent with any questions.
 
NYAC Meeting - will be held June 8th – June 11th.  If there is an emergency, please contact Pastor Barbara Marks by her cell phone (203) 410-3221. 
 
The Sew ‘n’ Sew’s meet June 13 at the Green Room in Middletown, at 12pm.  Please contact Rachel Titus for more information. 
 
Finance Committee – Will be meeting at the Parsonage on June 15, 2016 at 6:30 pm.  Please contact Warren Western with any questions.

Clean Water for Nicaraguans –The Accion Medica Cristina (AMC) goal to help provide water filters for Nicaragua.  Connecticut District is asked to support this project by purchasing filters – at $50.00 per filter – So far we have collected $275.00 toward this mission…. LETS KEEP IT GOING!
