We thank David Hurlburt, our pianist Patty Hurlburt's son, for his musical contributions to our worship services, and for his devotion to Christian service. David is planning to join a mission trip to Mingo County, West Virginia, one of the poorest counties in the Appalachian Mountains region of our country, from July 30th – August 6th, with a  team of 14 (11 high schoolers and 3 leaders).

David says, "I am excited to go to Mingo County, West Virginia on a mission trip this summer.I want to help the people there who are in poverty, and however God wants to use me.I would appreciate your support and prayers." Mission trips like David's help to change young lives in ways that bring them to Christ in powerful ways.

Please offer your prayers for David, and, if you can, please make a contribution to his mission team's financial goal to support their mission from donations. Thank you, and good luck, David!

Send the message of faith in Pentecost!

6/3/2017

Picture
You know from our Pentecost worship service how important is it to share faith with others - people who we invite through God's Holy Spirit to join us in worship are the logs that our faith is meant to set afire in Christ, so that we can be a strong and faith-filled church. We are here not just to sustain one another in faith - we are here to transform the world through faith!

In your Sunday church bulletin we included a greeting card. We encourage you to send it to someone who you know needs to be touched by faith - not necessarily a friend, but someone who you know needs to be touched by God. The card is attractive, and it should make it easy for you to touch one person or one family with the invitation to be present in the warmth of God's love this summer.

Do you know ONE person or family who needs to be touched by God? For the price of a postage stamp - or less- you can encourage that person to be transformed by God through our church.

If you want to send this card to MORE people, feel free -below is the Microsoft Word file to print it out. Ask the church office for help if you need it. If you're visiting this post as a member of another church, feel free to adapt this design to your own outreach efforts. A church on fire is a church that invites other people to be set on fire. Let's do it!
