For children + teens
As a growing church, we encourage families with children of all ages to participate in our worship services, our ministries and our Christian education programs, including our Sunday school program during our worship services. It is important to understand that children do not learn about God just from the Bible: they learn from experiencing people acting as Christians who acknowledge and share their faith with others in words and in actions. So your own Christian growth is important, too.
Getting children involved in projects such as missions for our community and, for teens, missions abroad, can also be important milestones in their spiritual, emotional, and intellectual development. Children benefit from fellowship and friendships with other children in an environment that encourages positive behaviors, with strong and safe role modeling from our adult members who are qualified to lead them. We encourage you to consider having your young teens participate in our confirmation classes. These classes provide a deep understanding of the Christian experience that prepares them to become adult church members, as well as field trips and other fun group projects and activities. We encourage you to help your children to grow a positive and strong outlook on themselves and the world that will help them as they grow! |
