Thank you to Rev. Sara Lamar-Sterling for God’s grace working through her, as she fills our pulpit this morning. Sara is a chaplain at Yale New Haven Hospital, has served as Interim Dean of Students at Yale, and was the Pastor at First and Summerfield UMC, New Haven.
Welcome to our guest Rick Gregoire - Rick Gregoire is a resident of Guilford, CT. He has been a member of the United Methodist Church, Branford, CT (UMCB) for 25 years. His involvement at UMCB has included Sunday School teacher, Praise Band member, Trustees Committee member and Finance Chairman. He has been involved with many fund raisers for UMCB and other organizations over the years. He is an active amateur musician in several area bands.
Special Offering - World Communion Sunday, we gather together and celebrate the God-given potential in all of us! Through the years, countless gifted people have been marginalized because of ethnicity, financial hardship or other biases. We come to the table to celebrate the unique ways that God has gathered and calls us all around the world. There will be a special offering for World Communion Sunday on October 1st.

Small Great Things Book Club - discussion will begin in September 28th at 7pm, in the Parsonage. This is a novel by Jodi Picoult, where she tackles the profoundly challenging yet essential concerns of our time: prejudice, race, and justice.
