Save the Date…. Connecticut District Resource Day– will be held Saturday, February 3rd, from 9am to 12pm at the Simsbury UMC and Sunday, February 11th, from 2pm to 5pm at the Stratford UMC. There will be workshops designed for leaders of church committees and workshops exploring church revitalization through youth ministries, sanctuary church, mission, a fresh approach to decision-making, and exploration of cultural trends impacting the way churches do ministry. Pre-registration will be available soon. Please see Pastor Barbara Marks for more information.
Souper Bowl Luncheon – Save the date, February 4th, for the “Souper Bowl Luncheon” for CT District fundraiser, Days for Girls. If you are willing to make soup or chili please let Pastor Barbara know.
The Sew ‘n’ Sew’s – meet the second Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. at Heritage Commons. Bring a brown bag lunch. Please see Rachel Titus for more information.
Trustee Committee - will meet Wednesday, February 7th at 7pm, at the Parsonage. Please see Bill Collins for more information.
Choir Rehearsals - will begin Tuesday, February 13th, from 7:30pm - 8:30pm, at the Parsonage for the Lenten and Easter season. We are looking forward to the gathering of all the singers! Please see Patty Hurlburt for more information.
Finance Committee - will meet Wednesday, February 21st at 7pm, at the Parsonage. Please see Nancy Burton for more information.
SPPR Committee - will meet Wednesday, February 28th at 7pm, at the Parsonage. Please see Sharon Riley for more information.
UMC Market - when making purchases, REMEMBER to use UMC Market. The church will then receive a percentage of the purchase price. Many stores that you already shop at are on the website. Go to UMCmarket@umcmarket.org to sign up today.
