Sew 'n' Sews - You Can Help!

Next Tuesday, the women's Sew 'n' Sews group of First UMC Middletown will be meeting on the first floor of Heritage Commons' main building at 10 AM, to create new hope and beauty for people who need it in our community - and beyond. You don't have to be an expert, and new learners are welcome. If you cannot come, you can help by inviting others who might want to learn, especially younger adults. Feel free to share this post via Facebook or email to people who might be interested. 

We are currently concentrating on the following mission projects: 

• Purchasing material for making cut and fringe scarves for the River Valley Services clients for their annual Christmas Party. 
  
• Donating material and sewing school bags for Church World Service kits, and with the help of our church family, United Methodist Women (UMW) and our Sewing Circle we will fill 50 school kits and 50 health kits.    
  
• Our latest mission has been knitting 50 comfort dolls for Haitian children.

If you can, please bring a bag lunch, so that we can extend our time together.
