FUMC has an account at Timeless Trendz Consignment Shop at 749 Saybrook Rd. Middletown, CT. Items that have not sold at our tag sales or fairs have been brought there to sell. We receive 50% of the selling price. When you are doing your spring cleaning and you find items you no longer want that are in good condition, they may be brought to the store to sell. They accept women’s clothing, housewares, tools, small appliances, some furniture items, jewelry and toys. The items will be kept for 60 days. If the item does not sell within that time frame, you may claim it and it will be returned to you. All others will be donated to charity. We have had success with this venture and hope you will support this local business. They are open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. They accept consignments Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. They can be reached at 860-344-1707. See Dara Parent or Joanne Schilke with questions.
We have a Facebook page! Help spread the word about the church by “liking” the church page and “sharing” posts. (http://www.facebook.com/pages/First-United-Methodist-Church/109638702407308).
Remember your cereal and tuna fish donations, the first Sunday of each month, for Amazing Grace Food Pantry. Contact Dara Parent at 860-347-5078 for further information.
Amazing Grace Food Pantry has communicated to us that their supplies are alarmingly low. You can drop food off directly at Amazing Grace – 16 Stack Street in Middletown or bring donations to worship next week and we will take them over. Thank you!
