South Church, 9 Pleasant st, Middletown Pick up choir will meet at South Church on July 14 at 8:45am. All are Welcome. Shelley Brown is our new Administrative Assistant. For the summers she can be reached by phone (860) 346-3689 leave message, or email churchoffice@fumcmiddletownct.org. She will hold office hours at South Congregational Church on Thursdays from 8:30-2 and can be reached there at (860)346-5006. Arias, Spirituals, and More Maria Young and Carolyn Halsted will present a concert of arias, spirituals, and more on Saturday, July 13, at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. Maria, a dramatic soprano with warm, full-bodied voice, has sung extensively in opera, musical theater, churches, and concerts, and has also worked in TV, film, and radio. Carolyn is a local pianist who performs frequently as soloist and collaborative artist. Free-will donations

This week is Peace for Justice offering – Although we may lack the resources alone to effect change in a broken world, your giving is vital for the UMC to continue its global ministries of reconciliation. Because of the Peace with Justice Sunday offering, the people of The United Methodist Church are able to make a difference together by sowing seeds—and yielding fruit!—of peace. Today will be our last church school until the fall. Summer worship will take place in South Congregational Church on the green July-August at 9:30 beginning July 7. Save the Date – Saturday, June 22nd at 9:00am. Come help us move out of the parsonage! A storage pod will be delivered to the parsonage on June 15th. We will need people to come help pack the boxes any time between June 15th-22nd. Please save any boxes you have! Contact Marsha Judson to coordinate a time.
